The Metro NY and Northern NJ conversion will take place over 3 weeks. It is
being done in 3 phases and is currently underway. It is being done by area
code and exchange. Call customer care and give them your (xxx)-xxx. They
will tell you which phase you are in. Last Friday Phase 1 subs received a
notification in their VM that they will be undergoing the conversion within
the next week. Phase I will take place late Tuesday (6/28) PM and into
early Wednesday AM.
Phase II is scheduled for Tuesday July 5, and phase III for Tuesday July 12.
Of course these are tentative dates and very well could change.
Also note this NY conversion does not include all of NYS as is probably the
case for NJ as well. Western NY markets including Buffalo, Rochester and
Syracuse will not undergo the conversion at this time.
