In the Netherlands for instance all you have to say is I want that one in a mobile phone provider store. Other countries make you register when you get a prepaid account. In places such as the Netherlands they don't require it, but if as I did with buying a T-Mobile NL prepaid account last year they give you a 10 credit for registering your account. Other countries such as Italy you have to have a "codice fiscal" (equivalent of a social security number), but I found a place on the web that can calculate a codice fiscal for you. Also, be sure to take into account how "compatible" your account is for reaching others by SMS (text.) It's my finding at least that Vodafone does not play well with some other networks and your message will not be delivered or only outgoing or incoming works but not both. In the Netherlands I've used KPN (from the local phone company), Telfort, Vodafone and now T-Mobile. T-Mobile is actually the best for keeping an account "active" since it only requires that you make a chargeable call on the account every six months where others require that you add a calling voucher to the account to keep it active. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
