I have a Treo 600 and it has served me well but wish I could get a 700p and
retain T-Mobile.

For the life of me I cannot understand why TMO has dumped the Treo other than
maybe some financial dealings with Blackberry "persuaded" TMO to discontinue
the Treo.

Mandy remarks that the Blackberry kicks Treo 650 butt.

In what ways, Mandy? Please edify because I want the device that does the
most, etc.

BTW, yesterday, I was in line at a business luncheon with two Verizon sales
guys who each sported Treo 700ps. We did a camera photo comparison with my 600
and the 700p just blows away the 600. From what I can see in comparison
tables, the 650 is not much better than the 600 but the 700 is way cool better
in resolution.

But my main remark is that the Verizon guy in passing said he had had a
Blackberry for years and had recently gone with the 700p and that the 700p "did
more" [than the Blackberry] and that he had gotten used to the 700p and liked
it.

The scuttlebutt I hear around is that folks who have a choice prefer the Treos
due to their range of functions but that some must use the Blackberry due to
their businesses having bulk contracts with Blackberry and that is what they
are issued.

BTW, the Verizon guys told me that their email on their 700ps was "push" email
with Verizon being the email ISP, if I am phrasing this correctly. (My email
on my Treo 600 is "pull" and since my ISP is MSN I must subscribe to Fastmail
and get Snappermail software in order to pull my emails from MSN/hotmail. Since
I do not really need "push" email, that is not an issue for me. I want the 700
for other reasons. I may have to settle for the 650 if I want to stay with
T-Mobile.)

Guys, gals, comments?

I had an SDA for about 3 months. Could not stand the small screen
and all of the keystrokes to send email. (I knew what I was getting
in for when I bought it--lol) I'm much more pleased with the Treo.
