The phone companies are nickel & diming their customers. T-Mobile isn't the
only one to do this. Others do it too, and charge more!

Subject: [T-Mobile-US] Be aware!!! T-mobile start to charge upgrade fee $18
per phone in the store

I went to upgrade my phone at a T-Mobile store at Kent Station in Kent
Washington yesterday. The reason for my upgrade was to use a myFav
capable phone for my renewed subscription with myFav feature. I went
to upgrade my daughter's phone last week. They did not charge me any
upgrade fee. However, when we ready to pay the upgraded phone, the
sales guy suddenly asked me to pay for the upgrade fee $18 each for
two upgraded phones. I asked why I did not have this charge last week.
He told me that they started it on November 11 2007. The reason for
that from the sales guy is the devaluation of the US dollar. I could
not believe what this guy said. I asked to talk to the manager. He
said the manager was not there. This really make me very upset. In
this competitive market, I have never heard of this upgrade fee from
other provider. I didn't see any place in the store posting this
charge. Because we had been staying in the store for quite a long
time. We reluctantly paid this fee and left. Just want to let everyone
know thi s upgrade fee is in effect. If you can find a better deal
somewhere from other provider, you probabaly should consider it. You
can carry you number to any provider anyway.
