Donna, regarding number two, the data-only plan was not associated with the
phone itself, but with the SIM card. So if you put a different SIM into it
that has a regular voice plan associated with it, then your phone would be
using that plan & number instead of the one you previously used with your
TP2.

Regarding your first question, I heard about amplifiers that are standalone
devices that are supposedly capable of receiving mobile networks and
amplifying them inside your house. But i don't have any first-hand
experience with those.
