Not a darned penny. I live in the country and could get consistent Edge signal, 
with the device I have 4G service in the house. You need to have at least 1 bar 
of 3 or 4G for the unit to work properly if you can't get that this won't help. 
Like the other person said you can always us wifi if your phone supports it.
