So, when somebody comes in and says that there are problems with the ATAPI
spec as Hale did, the chair can play "politics" as he did and ignore him so
that we end up with problems as we did?  Instead of investigating the
comments objectively to see if they are factually correct.

I'm sure that you will have difficulty believing this based on this email,
but I've actually seen this fact based approach work and lead to success.
And actually between a few different companies.  Sometimes if you
investigate how something works you can actually discover how it works.
