** This is the quasi-official and semi-temporary T13 email list server. ** Do you think we will see 48-bit LBA hardware implementations that don't implement a 16-bit Features register? A clever hardware designed might say "my device doesn't implement the R/W DMA QUEUED EXT commands and none of the other EXT commands need a 16-bit Features registers so I am only going to implement an 8-bit Features register". Do you think we will see this implementation? And see ATA/ATAPI-6 rev 1B... in clause 6.20 the text says that the Device (Device/Head) register is not a 16-bit register. But the diagram in clause 6.20 implies that it is a 16-bit register. None of the EXT command descriptions show the Device register as a 16-bit register. This could be confusing. *** Hale Landis *** [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** *** Niwot, CO USA *** www.ata-atapi.com *** -- If you have any questions or wish to unsubscribe send a message to Hale Landis, [EMAIL PROTECTED] To post to this list server send your message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For questions concerning Thistle Grove Industries or TGI's list services please send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
