This violates SFF-8020, ATA/ATAPI-4, ATA/ATAPI-5 and even ATA/ATAPI-6. === For me this once again makes me ask this: If ATAPI device designers are going to ignore all the published specifications/standards and do whatever they want then why should T13 waste time trying to describe ATAPI? Why not just remove ATAPI from the standard and forget about it. Then if the folks designing and using ATAPI devices find that they need a document they can form a Secret Society, or an SFF subcommittee or whatever.
