T10 Report - July 30, 2001

T10 met last in Colorado Springs, CO, on Thursday July 19, 2001 with 44
people
present. Membership is at 46 voting organizations.

T10 has requested the T11 Chair to appoint a liaison to T10, replacing Neil
Wanamaker who no longer attends T10 meetings.

The FCP-2 public review comment from Roger Cummings was not resolved. Bob
Snively and Roger Cummings are working together to develop a resolution.

The SPC-2 public review comments were resolved without making substantive
changes to SPC-2. SPC-2 revision 20 was forwarded to NCITS for approval.

The forwarding letter ballot on SCSI on Scheduled Transfer (SST) passed
35:1:4:7=47. Comments were received from 4 organizations (in addition to
the
required comments for the 4 abstention ballots). The SST working group is
in
the process of resolving these comments.

T10 requested NCITS to close the Reduced MultiMedia Commands (RMC) Project
due
to lack of resources to pursue the project.

T10 approved 3 new project proposals:

        SCSI Management Server Commands (MSC)
        SCSI RDMA Protocol - 2 (SRP-2)
        SCSI Parallel Interface - 5 (SPI-5)

T10 is currently conducting a letter ballot on forwarding the SCSI Signal
Modeling (SSM) Technical Report (closes August 24).

T10 expects to conduct a letter ballot on forwarding SPI-4 (a.k.a., Ultra
320)
following the September meeting.

The next plenary meeting of T10 will be September 13, 2001 in Huntington
Beach, CA at the Hilton Waterfront Hotel (714-960-7873), hosted by QLogic.
The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Several ad hoc meetings
