What we downlaod is:
http://www.mysql.org/Downloads/MySQL-5.0/mysql-5.0.37.tar.gz 

Internally T2 tries to recompress everything to bz2 for historic
storage shortage from the pre TB HD time.

The T2 checksums are always for the uncompressed data, so changing
the compressor does not matter.
