Hi,

gzip-1.0.7 evilly changed the default behavior so that the (sym-)linked
gunzip would no longer work as the program name would no longer
be checked. The NEWS / Changelog indicate this was requested by
the GNU headquater :-(

Unforunatly we just noticed this now with some spurious initrd extension
failures when gunzip would spit out compressed data instead uncompressed
bits.

So now we build gzip with -DGNU_STANDARD=0 to avoid this new, buggy
behaviour, especially as we do not want this lovely wrapper script
passing -d to gzip that gzip would ship by default, now.
