Hello, I've been playing with the generic + minimal package selection target for i486, both in the last stable release and the current version in trunk.
When I boot the stable-version install CD, and run Stone, everything seems fine. I get past selecting partitions, and the second screen gives me the following options, as I'd expect: 1 Mount Options: 2 Source Device: /dev/cdrom 3 Mountpoint: /mnt/source 4 Config ID: Automatically choose first 5 6.0-stable-generic-x86-i486 6 Start gasgui Package Manager (recommended) 7 Start gastone Package Manager (minimal) I select gasgui, and the install continues normally. When I boot the install disc I build from trunk, the first Stone screen seems normal, but the second screen is missing the target option: 1 Mount Options: 2 Source Device: /dev/cdrom 3 Mountpoint: /mnt/source 4 Config ID: Automatically choose first 5 Start gasgui Package Manager (recommended) 6 Start gastone Package Manager (minimal) (Note that there are *two* blank lines between the Config ID option and the gasgui option, leading me to believe that there is supposed to be something between those blank lines.) When I select gasgui, Stone abruptly asks me if I want to reboot. If I select no, I am dumped to the terminal. No install actually takes place. Is anyone else seeing a similar problem? FWIW, this is inside Qemu 0.9.1 (my own build). I'm happy to provide any logs anyone wants to see. -- William Tracy [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Vice President, Cal Poly Linux Users' Group http://www.cplug.org ----------------------------------------------------------- If you wish to unsubscribe from this mailing, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of: unsubscribe t2
