hi,
I built a system, created a CD and installed it on a VIA miniITX board
(target).
Now I would like to add more packages without a complete reinstall.
I created a new CD, started stone at the target, and from menu "Package
Management..." tried to invoke gasgui. CD seems to be mounted and accepted,
but gasgui tells me: /mnt/cdrom0/1.7-x86-reference/pkgs/packages.db not
found. Actually the packages.db is in /8.0-trunk-generic-x86-i486/pkgs (this
is actually the name of my build). Seems the path "1.7-x86-reference" is
hardcoded in gasgui. I rebuilt mine, which creates a new gasgui, but still
this strange search path for packages.db.
How can I make gasgui to find the packages.db on the CD?
I guess this stone entry is not vastly tested. Maybe just mount
the cd and install with mine -i /media/cdrom/pkg...tar.bz2.
The stone entry should be improve nontheless.
I think most people just add new packages by building from source
with a t2 checkout in /usr/src/t2-trunk and:
scripts/Emernge-Pkg exact-iamge
