Stay tuned.

What can I do to help?

I'm building my own mini-distribution for my university senior
project, and TLX has almost *exactly* the base set of packages I
wanted to build on. :-)

Ok, t2/trunk/target/tlx HEAD now builds and live-cd image, that also
starts to boot (in Qemu).

However, it does not yet properly open login getty's. This can be easily
fixed by altering the etc/inittab. By adding init=/bin/sh you already get
a shell.

The file-system content is 10MB compressed, the CD is 20MB, however
I had to add some more minimal stuff, and added mc-mp, alpine, links,
...

I'll fixup the inittab to bring up a login and maybe add an minimal
"copy to HD /installer/ script".

Then it's up to the community to do whatever the community likes
TODO with it :-) (e.g. propose stuff to add / remove send patches etc.).

The TLX as setup right now is setup to space optimize and build
compatible with as low as the original i386, using uclibc for this
i386 compatibility (glibc today is 486 and up only) and includes
the floating point math emulation enabled in the kernel (I double
checked).

For anyone to gain more insight how a T2 target is setup and can
be quickly drafted the svn log and diffs of the target/tlx tree should
be an interesting read:

 svn log http://svn.exactcode.de/t2/trunk/target/tlx

(and then svn diff -c <revision> of the changesets)

Yours,
