Hi,

Most probably the error message is accurate and a good point to start
from. I had in the past similar problem. I found out that there were 2
reasons:

1) I did inserted in the pkglist rules of the given config the line 'X
libxml2' without checking whether it exists at all (I supposed it should,
being xml a very basic task). I did not get any error message in creating
this config. However I discovered later that libxml2 (as package name)
does not exist, there is 'libxml1' and 'libxml' (this later is the version
2)

2) libxml - although it was marked to be built - was built only later,
after the gnome-desktop. At that time I simply stopped and restarted
'Build-Target' after libxml was built already. (I guess this was already
addressed and solved)

I hope this helps.
