Hi again,
sure: as T2 is so much about being really 100% open source, with
detailed, in-depth
per-package information comfortably rendered on the web, you can just
grab the
patch in questions for the various T2 versions here:

Subject: Re: General Question: T2
Hi,
the T2 libusb contains a speed improvement patch for some time. Maybe that
is the cause, as the T2 v6 is somewhat older, and I updated the patch in the
meantime. Maybe first try with a unmodifed libusb and see if this makes the
problem go away.

Rene,
I am sorry if this is not the correct route to ask my question, but I
was not sure on where to start. I know that you help control the T2
version of linux. If this is wrong I am very sorry to have wasted
your time.
I am also sorry if my question is kinda generic. I will try to be as
specific as possible. I have a USB I/O card that using a linux
program to test it. If I connect this I/O card directly to a Red Hat
PC running Enterprise Ed 4. with kernel 2.6.9, the program is able to
run fine. But, if I hook this I/O card up to a PC running T2- Version
6 with kernel 2.6.16 the program will not run and will return errors.
The Program using libusb to operate. So, I install this before
running my program. I am using the same exact installation on both
PCs. The error I am getting from my libusb function call is
LIBSUB_IO_ERROR. Which basically means Input/Output Error. Not very
specific.
I have two possible areas where my problem could be coming from: the
kernel version, or what I think it is: There is some difference
between red hat and T2 in the way they communicate with usb. Since
you run the T2 mailing list(I think) I was wondering if you knew of
what could be missing from T2 that I would need or if there was some
setting I needed to set in order for this to work.
Thanks again for your time,
*Ken Payne*
