My apologies for wasting your time.
I found that I had target/ ..... /pkg_qt4.conf
that was causing the problem.
No problem, you're welcome! Good to know it wasn't directly our fault :-)

I got T2 out of svn about 5 - 6 days ago.
When it got to Qt4, I had 7.1GB free space in the partition. After a
very long time, a few hours, the free space had dropped to under 1GB,
so I killed the compile.
build/ ... /var/adm/logs/5-qt4.out is the culprit, it just keeps growing .
I found that Qt asks a question, but it seems that T2 gives the wrong
answer, so Qt asks the same question again, and again...
"Which edition of Qt do you want to use ?
Type 'c' if you want to use the Commercial Edition.
Type 'o' if you want to use the Open Source Edition."

Yeah, that annoyed me once, years(?) ago, when they changed their
questioning, too. However, it currently builds for me:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9358063 Oct 2 10:58
build/reference-8.0-trunk-reference-x86-pentiumpro-linux/var/adm/logs/5-qt4.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 8677388 Nov 4 01:22
build/reference64-8.0-trunk-reference-x86-64-linux/var/adm/logs/5-qt4.log
The code in package/kde/qt4/qt4.conf:
...
# accept the GPL
echo "o
yes" | ./configure $confopt
...
Maybe it asks a second time on your system, after re-generating
something, or so?
