I think there are quite some people who build trunk, e.g. form what I read on 
IRC. Of course I also continuously keep building trunk.

If -fp mean floating point I would be puzzled if we pass --without-fp for x86. 
Are you doing any additional configuration or pass --without-fp yourself, e.g. 
for Vortex86 boards without FP?
