I'm playing with embedded target and it seems it uses 'udev'.
My device don't have much hotplug I/O ports, and has little MEM/CPU.
I'm seriously considering replacing udev with static /dev/* entries
(created by MAKDEV script),
PROS:
- Simpler boot process, no udev processes running.
- Faster boot (No delays until udev detects devices)
CONS:
- ???
Will I get in trouble by doing this ?
What would udev do better ?
