Hey all,

yesterday I got an email regarding T2 contributions, patches, work on the
source code.

I just wanted to drop a list of easy task for newcomers wanting to get to know
the T2 SDE sources and open source in general. Of course this tasks are not
meant for one person to be worked thru all at once, but whoever feels so (on a
rainy day or so) to do some open source work is encouraged to pick their
personal favorite to work on it:

1. go thru all T2 packages and update Url and Download tags for projects that
moved or changed their download location / server
2. go thru all T2 packages and update the packages to their latest versions (I
try to do so every morning, but obviously I am busy with the most obvious of
the 3000+ packages, so all the not so often touched places, KDE, GNOME, etc. to
name a few are welcome)
3. add new well known and nice to have packages (gnome3, kde-something, wayland
et al. and all the smaller packages for daily fun out there)
4. fix compile errors / regression sneaked in usually cause by gcc / glibc
updates, due to new standard conformance, stricter compiler checks, etc. pp.

This 4 points are probably good to keep multiple people busy a whole winter, so
do not forget to contribute early and often (like daily patches to the list).
