Rene, I would like to make a suggestion for package/develop/icu4c I have appended this to icu4c.conf:
# BK var_append confopt ' ' ' --with-data-packaging=archive' It doesn't do any harm to have that as a permanent option, at least I don't think so. What it does is separate out the database from the libicudt*so* library, as a icu*.dat file. What that offers, is the ability to cut down the size of icu. For those of us who build small systems, the 22 - 25MB size of the libicudt* library (or icu*.dat) is not palatable.
