Have you figured out what you going to do with problem# 2? I think it is best to provide a T2 CONFIG option for wayland, and allow the user to select and build with or without xorg support. Within the wayland build script, it will build (one time) depending on the user's selection. Since the installation location will be at different places, it will be just fine.
I am so tempted to test wayland's performance, but at the same time, nervous because it is not stable yet. Also, recent bug reports show that the compositor will segfault and would need patches to the Nvidia Nouveau driver. BTW, Have you noticed any stability issue and significant rendering improvement? thanks
