Hi All, Restarted building t2 9.0 on a KVM VM based on T2- 9.0 minimal x86_64 iso and latest SVN. issues:
1. xz is missing in default installation and it is used to perform checksum/decompress several packages even for basic build. You should install this package if you want to build at least the default minimal. Should i create an updated howto on building the new T2? 2.glibc appears to have some issues with python when building. It will complain about python version too old even if python is at version 2.7. A workaround is to use Build-Pkg python with your config and then restart the VM. Apparently there is an issue with the console in which you build and the issue will dissapear after reboot. 3. util-linux in stage 1 and i assume in subsequent stages complains about TIMEVAL_TO_TIMESPEC being undefined. This is an old issue in t2, i signalled this before. the solution is to add in the package configuration in GCC Wrapper -D_GNU_SOURCE and the package will compile successfully. regards, JD
