I’m surprised you could post there, I thought it was configured read-only.

Well, I already donate a huge amount of time updating and improving T2 nearly
each and every day.
Even at non existing holiday and weekends:
http://svn.exactcode.de/ChangeLog-t2
It would really be awesome if folks could do some where and send a patch once
in a while.
Or at least watch my YouTube videos for some ads revenue:
https://www.youtube.com/user/renerebe
or use the donate button to fund this efforts: http://t2sde.org/download/
Updates are actually quite easy, you can check for them:
source/UpdateList lyx
That will likely give you something like:
…
[MATCH] (2.0.8) [+]
-----------------------
XXX lyx-2.0.8.1
Then you can automatically patch the t2 package source if you do not want to
hand edit it:
scripts/Update-Pkg lyx-2.0.8.1
and send send a patch after test building it:
svn di package/editors/lyx/
This is really not too hard, isn't it?
Now I would commit this update myself, if it would not require qt4, which my
last test build failed to build:
** qt 4 library not found !
Now qt4 failed because it could not build mysql support (what?, sigh!) and
mysql failed due to:
…ha_sphinx.cc:17:10: fatal error: mysql_priv.h: No such file or directory
???
Well, whatever, maybe interested folks get an better idea how much work it is
to maintain thousands of packages updated and keep them compiling ;-)
Happy new year, and oh, did I mention my new YT channel and the donate button?
;-)

And while we are at it: there a pretty like and subscribe buttons, too ;-)
