This is “just” the usual bootstrap / cross problems of packages trying to use 
something from your system.
This might be fixed in t2/trunk:HEAD now.

For a first test you could also touch build/…/var/adm/logs/0-libxml.log like I 
sometimes did in the YT videos, to skip over the minimal error, and continue.

Feel free to continue to report any such errors so we can tweak the build 
scripts to avoid them.
