I was thinking along the lines of target/generic/pkgsel/00-bootstrap-musl, 00-minimal-musl and 10-minimal-musl-xorg, for those who want to have a go at musl builds.

?Does this mean we finally have
http://svn.exactcode.de/t2/trunk/target/generic/pkgsel/ packagelists for musl
as well as the existing glibc/glibc32 available for builders to play with?

Not sure if I understand this questions.

* we will not add extra package selection, the current ones can be used w/ musl
by chancing the system c library config
* not all of the packages in the selection build yet w/ musl, minimal-xorg will
have around 10 to 20 or so build errors of non vital, just nice to have packages

Maybe I test sometime soon if we can get X up and running on a musl build ;-)

Again, any patches or reports welcome! As usual with this new and
non-mainstream stuff your milage may vary and things might still be imperfect
(aka broken ;-).

I do admit I had pulled the plug (temporarily) with the problems I was having
with building T2, intending to come back when my workload had dropped in late
March until mid-year and try to sort the problems I was having then.

I have in the meantime been looking at a number of musl builds so it would be
good if it is at least 'sort of working'.

Hey there,
as of today musl support was slightly more improved to fix cross-compiling,
bootstrapping for another than native architecture.
Not only for x86-64 -> arm or any other, but also x86-64 -> i?86.
If you give it a tray and it works awesomely or you find a bug I love to hear!
PS: while most of minimal-xorg builds, there for sure will be build errors
lurking out for more advanced desktop / server stuff. Patches very welcome,
too! ;-)
