I certainly used t2 like that, even recently for some avr and riscv32 toolchain:

and before to also build a win32 mingw toolchain. I usually just trimmed the
list down, not too big of a deal.
The bootstrap is only larger, as it should include everything to continue
building t2. I could certainly split this into toolchain and bootstrap.
Someone wants to send a patch?
