Hello to the list.

In April 2001, Linda Hendrickson will be teaching a week-long class in tablet
weaving at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, North Carolina.
The dates are April 15-20. The title of her class is "Structures and Designs
in Tablet Weaving", and the class description is as follows.

Explore different ways to make a continuous warp and gain an understanding of
the three variables and how they interact to produce different structures,
geometric patterns, pictorials, motifs, and letters. We will focus on
warp-twining, 2-hole Andean pebble weave, and the double-faced weave. No
prior experience necessary.

The Folk School is a truly wonderful place to spend a week, and it's even
better when you get to take classes! It is a semi-rustic location (well, as
far as I remember, everything was uphill, both ways, but it really isn't that
bad!) with great food and comfortable lodging. The people there are terrific
-- our own Pam Howard is the weaving head honchette there -- and it's really
a great experience. To contact the school, you can call 1.800.365.5724 or
visit their web site at www.folkschool.org.
