Welcome to the list Sandra, I've made some leather tablets and find they
are quite nice to use. I often use wood and leather - threaded according to
my pattern so that I can easily see which tablets need to be turned in
which order, for instance, if my selvedges are turned differently from the
inside section, I'll use leather for the selvedge, as a visual reminder.
As for sling or loom - I always use some type of loom setup, be it posts,
clamps, or my band loom, so I can easily walk away from it when its all
going wrong.... !
