Hi Everyone,
To day we are opening a tabletweaving exhibition at the national library in
Reykjavik (Iceland) to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the
publication of Margarethe Lehmann-Filhés UBER BRETTCHENWEBEREI.
At the exhibition wil be a copy of the book some photos and letters in
icelandic she writed, while she was corresponding with some people in
Iceland.
Also several bands old ones and new. The oldest is from the 15. century (it
is a brocarded band with one dark two light threads and an empty hole).
Other bands in the icelandic double-cloth technique. At the exhibitionare
also bands from Sigridur Halldorsdottir and from myself.
The exhibition wil be open to March the 25th.
