Sponsored by TWIST - Tablet Weavers International Studies & Techniques Janis, My TWIST newsletter has just arrived and as so many others have said, our magazine is so interesting and inspirational. I particularly enjoyed Patricia Townsend's article. What a wonderful opportunity for her students and the children of Chinchero to share their weaving knowledge. To think that you actually have looms available for the children to learn weaving on! Also, I have been thinking about re-aquainting myself with 2 hole pebble weave and must do Rosh haShannah's apple design as a refresher. Last Spring I made a tablet woven tea cosy that I use everyday. I enjoy exploring the possibilities a simple woven band can provide. Also, my recent trip to S.E. Asia was recorded with panoramic film. Since I couldn't find a binder to house my photos, I inserted metal rings into 50 three-hole film sheets and wrapped them all with a tablet woven band. This summer I will be teaching a one week course July 2 to 6, at the Haliburton Summer School of the Arts and look forward to sharing TWIST with my class. www.flemingc.on.ca Judy Chapman Our Web Site: Weaving & Watercolours http://www3.sympatico.ca/judyc/ Contained Images: Ontario Handweavers & Spinners Juried Show Tablet Woven - "Chimes of Time" http://www.ohs.on.ca/special.html Tablet Weaving Gallery: http://w3.thegroup.net/~janis/gallery11.html Send private reply to "Judy Chapman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop receiving tabletweaving (not tabletweaving-digest), send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: unsubscribe tabletweaving.
