Sponsored by TWIST - Tablet Weavers International Studies & Techniques
Hi everyone,
For those interested in historic tablet weaving:
There is a big article by Martha Henze, with many photos, in the latest
Textile Museum Journal, "Tablet-woven Curtains from Ethiopia: New Light on
a Puzzling Group of Textiles" (Textile Museum Journal 1999-2000, pages
84-100).
Also, I have put some photos of 19th century Bakhtiyari bands and a horse
headdress on my website, in the Tablet Weaving Gallery. These bands are in
the collection of Fred Mushkat. They are woven in 3/1 broken twill, and
the horse headdress is embellished with cowrie shells, buttons, and tassels.
