Lyndsay,

I read your article in the Summer issue of TWIST and would like to ask you a
question about your lovely hangings. I am curious as to how you constructed
them so that they do not collapse in the middle when hung? Do they have an
iron-on backing or did you use some form of stiffner or liner? From the
photographs, I assume that the horizontal bands were hand joined but not
sure how you finished the ends before attaching to the vertical bands. When
I made the tea cozy (pg. 9), I serged the ends of the vertical bands & then
hand joined them before sewing to the horizontal band at the bottom. (the
horizontal band wraps around the ends).

Janis,
As always , TWIST is one of my favorite publications, so inspiring. Thanks
again for the wonderful job of putting it all together.

Judy

(who is saving my pennies for Otfried Staudigel's book. Expensive especially
for Canadians but definitely a must have. :)
