Hi!

> - What should Tablet Weaving Software do for you?

I would like it to "troubleshoot" patterns before I weave them as well as
create new patterns. I hate finding out my diagonals aren't smooth when I
have 3 colors in a card (so I can't just flip it) or finding out the pattern
that I thought was going to be a circle is going to be an oval. I am
getting fed up with the limitations of graph paper. Mainly I need something
that is going to take into account the slant of the surface threads.

> - Should it help you create new patterns?

Yes.

> - Should it help you analyse existing patterns?

Maybe - although I do find it fun to do that. Hey, but it might be more fun
to do it on the computer... I don't know.

> - Would you like to see an online archive of patterns?

Yes! And it would be fun to share!

> - Do you like to see brocading supported?

Yes! And hopefully double face and 3/1 twill and snartemo - I confess that
3/1 twill and snartemo scare me... maybe a computer program to test my
results BEFORE I thread all those cards would help me get my courage up.

> - Do you like to see pebble weave supported?

I don't know - I've never tried it.

> - If you are a teacher would you use software in your teaching?

No, but if the product was good I would recommend it to my students and tell
them where to get it. As I do now with other things, such as Peter's book
and Nancy's book. And I teach beginning tablet weaving several times a
year, and other TW classes, too.

> - Who will be the user, novices, high end designers?

Me! I don't know there, depends on who you market it to, I guess.

> - How much time are you willing to invest to learn a new tool?

Hopefully it would be something that you could jump in on fairly quickly.
Since you're designing a band, wouldn't there be room on screen as you're
working for directions, tips, shortcut keys, a list of commands, etc. for
easy reference?

I know all this is probably a lot to ask for in one program, but someone
asked! I don't know anything about programming, but I seem to be good at
finding bugs :-)
I'll be happy to help where I can (if I can).
