Yes, normally I try to have a very strong tensioned warp because work is
really fiddly otherwise. When turning single cards or pack of some cards
I normally have one hand beneath the whole pack of cards and do the
turning with the other hand. As I am right-hander I am used to hold my
left hand beneath the pack while turning with the right hand. When
turning, I pull the tablets to be turned up out of the pack (about 1/2
to 3/4 the height of a tablet). (I hope this description is imaginable)

I know that some of the Dutch weavers I know use a special board
attached to the loom to keep the tablets in their right position. I
never saw such a construction up to now but maybe I will see such one
end of April having a tablet weaving course in Potshausen (Northern
Germany) with Otfried Staudigel.
