I think I've made enough changes in the last few weeks to last the rest of the year. Though I suspect that's not what's going to happen... V1.09 can now be downloaded from my wesbite at http://user/iafrica.com/e/ec/eckie/tabletweaving. The most significant addition in this version is the design interface for 3/1 broken twill. There may be a couple of minor things that need tweaking, but on the whole I think it is working fairly well. I'd apprecite it though if someone with experience in 3/1 broken twill would take a look at it and tell me if I've missed out on something, or whether there's a better way of handling the interface. Cheers, Eckhard / Guntram. Version 1.09: - Added a button on the weaving image to show the turning direction as text tags. - In the multi-colour double-face designer, added buttons for moving selected cards to the left or right. - In the Settings menu, added option for the real image display to determine how the turning direction will be displayed. The direction can be shown as either the letters F and B, as a forward or backward slanting line, or as white and black blocks. - Added a 3/1 Broken Twill designer. The interface is very similar to the basic double-face designer, but there are additional tools for allowing the turning direction to be reversed in the middle of a sequence. Go to the File | Settings menu to select whether colour interchanges are handled by changing the turning sequence or by twisting the cards. - Added option for saving an image in bitmap instead of jpeg format. Jpeg images are compressed and thus lose colour accuracy, whereas bitmaps are exact but much larger in size. - Added option in the weaving image for marking long floats. - Changed the marker for twist points to a diamond shape so that it can be viewed at the same time as markers for direction changes. - Fixed a small bug in the double-face designer's area selection mode that prevented the first card from being selected as the start of an area. - Added a facility to enter notes for a pattern. The note editor can be displayed by clicking on the button shoing a page of text (in most of the design forms, this is next to the 'Print Pattern'button). The note editor can be either a free-floating window or it can be dragged and docked on the right side of the main window. - Added functionality for displaying the position of each card at the start of each pick. This is meant as an aid when weaving so that if an error has been made it is easy to determine which card is wrong. This display can be viewed via the 'Print Pattern' option by clicking on the 'Card Positions' button. - In the double-face and brocade designer, added options for mirroring the design about the horizontal or vertical axis. - Added options to the Settings for selecting the grid and tag colours used in the weaving image.
