Absolutely serious, and it's dreadfully easy!

Take a look at the bottom two pictures at

These were made by physically moving the tablets around in the
pack as you weave.

For example, set up 9 cards, 3 red, 3 white, 3 green.
Weave 4 picks. 
Move the right-most 3 cards to the middle (move the green
cards to between the red and white) to get
3 red, 3 green, 3 white

Weave 4 picks. 
Move the left-most 3 cards to the middle, to get
3 green, 3 red, 3 white

And so on.

_Everyone_ wants to pull them apart because they look like
separate strips that have been braided after weaving. :)
