Hopefully Nancy Spies will chime in here with her sources. I remember that when I took her brocaded tabletweaving workshop at  Convergence in Atlanta, there was a vendor that sold Japanese embroidery supplies that I purchased silver thread from. I believe the vendor was from Atlanta, but I don't remember the specifics. But.... I'd be willing to bet that Nancy knows who the good suppliers for brocading threads are. Nancy???
