I have just discovered that a piece of information was left out of the description of a band in the catalogue of "Ecclesicatical Pomp" which may be of interest.
On pp. 239-240, under "Rheinisches Landesmuseum, Bonn, Gemany", A. Function: finishing band on cuff of knitted glove, it should be noted that there are 13 blue glass beads sewn on the surface of the brocaded TW band, affixed with at least two different colors of thread. It is not possible for me to know whether these beads are contemporary with the band or not.
