Thank you to everyone who volunteered to do this translation!  The winner was Teresa.  Yea!  As this is only the second article I know about (probably more, right, Carla?) velvet tablet weaving, I promise to share with you the information Teresa and I figure out.

        As far as I know, which is not that much mind you, there may be more articles.  It depends on When.  I do not have TTW with me so I  don't know if velvet tw was/is common in post 1600 CE Earth.  What little knowledge I have is extremely narrow as I am only interested in the textiles of  people that have been dead for at least 500 years :-)  Also, since I could only look at the pretty pictures in the German article I have no idea of when that band was woven.  But if that band indeed was made in pre-1600 CE Europe, that would be the third band of that period I am aware of and the first double sided velvet band.
