Yes, but...

I agree that Staudigel's terminology, as you described here, is "nicer" in that the 
threading direction and twist direction are the same for forward turning.

But... Collingwood's _Techniques of Tablet Weaving_ has been the standard reference 
for so long, and so many people use and teach his terminology, that I really don't 
think it's a good idea to try to change. Instead of making things easier, it will just 
make everyone's life much, much harder. 

I've never had much luck with left/right-threaded either.

What we really need is some kind of unambiguous terminology that involves neither S/Z 
not left/right... or front/back, which I've also seen. I haven't come up with 
anything, but
not for lack of thought. Ideally, something that can be abbreviated with one character 
for use in patterns.

Other thoughts?
