silks from Germany

I have just received in the mail two cones of the silk Otfried Staudigel is advertising in the TWIST journal ... YUM!  They are sitting here positively glowing!  I have seen a tabletwoven piece done with this thread, and it is stunning; the light plays on the silk making all sorts of beautiful things happen to it.  The thread is almost unspun and thicker than 60/2 silk from Handweavers Studio.  I can't wait to weave something with it!  It is really, truly lovely thread.   Nancy   * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Nancy Spies Arelate Studio www.weavershand.com/ArelateStudio.html
