"I took both of Inge Dam's seminars, tried to learn her notation. Thought
I knew how to weave the Snartemo technique - it looked so easy on paper -
and proceeded to make many mistakes. So now I get to try it again on my
own. Is notation in the eye of the individual tablet weaver?
Inge's samples are so beautiful. I hope every TWIST member is able to see
her work at some point."

Hi all. I am mostly a lurker and a wannabe, smile firmly in place. 8>)
anyhow, I took a seminar from Inge at our local provincial conference last
June and fell in love with tablet weaving. Her work is wonderful and so
inspiring and her seminar, though brief lit a small fire. Due to family
illness the last year I am not very far along on my first explorations of
tablet weaving, ( I do weave on a 12 harness loom) but I have plans. I
came from that morning and spent the afternoon going over my notes and
drawing. she had a wonderful kimono coat that I covet that had tablet woven
bands. This year I am taking a course on putting together a kimono and
finishing, ( three days total) and I hope some of my sketches will make it
to real life in the next year. With weaving for a juried craft show in fall
and for a gallery in the city my summer plate is full, but I think it is
time to make something for me..... Thanks to all of you for incredible
information and inspiration. I have saved mostly all the past digests since
I joined and explored the links.
