This is a delightful picture that was obviously painted by someone who was only vaguely aware of the weaving technique!  There are pictures where the loom has, for example, no cross bar so that the two upright posts are miraculously standing all by themselves.  Since we cannot see the bottom of the loom in this picture, I am wondering if the little cherubs are holding on to those uprights for a reason!
