Sponsored by TWIST - Tablet Weavers International Studies & Techniques

Some of these were in a show in Noordwolde in the Netherlands last month. Seeing this, made me go back to my own weaving right away. I had started experimenting in this technique with a cream coloured warp but having the weaving on tension, I hardly saw the effect and lost my interest in it. I never expected the possibility of something as beautiful as these hangings.

To make you even more jealous; she also had on display a few very simple but stunning bands, rolled around a cord. They were made with all tablets in the same direction, turning them forward all the time so the resulting band twists automatically. I hope we will see them in one of the next issues of Twist. (Or on your website, Marijke?)

Kind regards,

Hi Guido,

(just to make you all jealous ;-)

You did, you did!!!

I think that these are just wonderful and I hope we eventually get to
see the rest of them.
