When starting how do you get everything even?
When I first started TW, I would put a pencil or similar into the warp and
work up to it to get the width correct and the threads all lining up. Once
they did, I could begin weaving 'properly'. I also occasionally use a
thicker weft thread in the initial picks. This section is then cut off when
I've finished. I don't need to do this now, but it did help initially.
When you finish what do you do with the loose threads at the start and end
of the weaving?
This really depends on what you intend to use your band for. The easiest
thing to do is to simply make them into tassels, then your band becomes a
tie belt! But like any other ribbon, you can cut the ends and hem if you
need to
