There seems to be a little bit of flex in the pipe, but this doesn't
seem to be a problem for lengths less than say 18 inches. I don't think
that it would hold out for a 3 foot length however.

Do you find that the PVC holds up fairly well? I was concerned about
stability, and whether the PVC would bow.
