Howdy, folks!

I finally finished my medallion ribbon! It's 28
inches in length, permanently fixed to the medallion,
and just over 1 1/8" wide. With 73 tablets, that
gives it an effective Ends Per Inch measure of about
260.

This has been one of those projects where it fought me
quite a bit - I had threads break (actually, come
untied, but the effect was the same!) and tension
problems and mis-read charts... but I'm very pleased
with how it finally turned out.

I've got photos and more info in my journal;

This post has most of the logistical details, like the
source of the quote, the images, and all the charts:

This post has some good close-ups during the weaving:

And this one has it FINISHED!!!:

The beads are strung onto the shuttle about a dozen at
a time, and pushed forward as needed. I'm very
pleased with the way they look, although next time I
will use solid metal beads, as the plating changes
color and then rubs off. They still look good,
because they're inside-plated as well.... but metal
beads would be nicer.
