You still give the div the proper class attribute :) We should have a default element id that we use as well, one that they can still override.

If people want to display the exception in an certain area or want to do some decoration to the exception content.
Then how to do that If just create div on-the-fly? :)

Sounds good to me, with the caveat that the exceptionConsoleId shouldn't be required, ie if you can't find a default div you should create and add one to the document body on-the-fly.

Yes, I agree completely, I would like to deal with Exception Console to let it create on the fly.
Is it good to create a tacosConfig in tacos.js to be a global configuration point?
that would may have options like these:
    popupDebugConsole : true/false
    popupExceptionConsole: true/false
    debugConsoleId:'someDivId'
    exceptionConsoleId:'someDivId'
I will do that if no objections. :)

Sounds good to me :) I haven't had enough time this morning to get fully into the groove enough to form more thoughts, but I was thinking that we should do something a little different with the Exception component, as well as the debug console.

I think both should more or less happen automatically without the need for people to specify components in their Border page, for usability reasons. The debug console I will take care of once I clear up a point or two on the dojo list. I think the Exception component inclusion could easily be taken out because of the fact that it is quite easy to add new div nodes to the document body, as well as just create widgets on the fly.

What do you think Felix? I think the Exception work is a huge boon to the library, which is why we should make it part of the core functionality and not something that has to be included. (Of course a global configuration option, maybe even in djConfig setting this behaviour to on or off wouldn't be a bad idea either, perhaps not everyone wants these consoles to pop open.)

I have tried to subscribe tacos-devel maillist to gmane.org through http://gmane.org/subscribe.php
I don't know if tacos is big/good enough to be archived by gmane.org ,
It is good to have archives there, because I have been finding tacos maillist there at the beginning.
I think many developers would find development/user maillist there first If they want to get more information about an opensource project.

Felix.
